Roberto the Roaster
Roberto Messineo founded his roastery, Caffè San Domenico in Sant’Antonino di Susa, where since 1998 he has been constantly searching for the best artisan roasting techniques using the best raw materials.
Roberto the Teacher
Roberto follows graduate students with the most important Italian universities: Luiss in Rome, Bocconi and the Polytechnic in Milan, the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo. In the latter he taught in the Masters of Coffee. He collaborates with the University of Turin and with I3P, the incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin.
Roberto the Innovator
In collaboration with Foodchain, Caffè San Domenico is the first coffee in the world with traceability of the supply chain with blockchain. It also collaborates in the development of 100% compostable capsules. He has numerous patents to his credit, in sectors ranging from alternative drinks for food intolerances to olfactory systems.
Roberto the Communicator
Roberto was Ambassador of Coffee at the Milan Expo in 2015 on behalf of Slow Food and Rai Expo. He participated in numerous informative videos and collaborates with the Slow Food Foundation for the promotion of Slow Food Coffee Presidia.
